4.   Kids' Ministry in the Summer: Programs will continue as usual on July 2, but will be cancelled on July 9 due to Summer Camp. Beginning from July 16 to August 27, there will be no children’s program during the English Service. Children and youths are invited to join the English Service. During the Cantonese Service, simplified children's programs will be provided subject to the availability of volunteers (pre-school to Gr. 4 in Children Sunday School, and Gr. 5-8 in youth group). If you can volunteer to help once a month during the Summer, please contact Ps Marcus.

5.    Ps Ralph has decided to conclude his contract with us as our Interim English Pastor, effective next Sunday, July 2. He will continue to serve as a regularly guest speaker in our English Service, and to lead the online men’s group moving forward, until circumstances change. We are grateful for his interim ministry in our church since mid-November last year, and his continual dedication to the Lord and His people here.  His return with Karen to serve among us has been a blessing to people of all ages.  May the Lord bless them, their family, and their work in the church and in the marketplace. Please join us in praying for them next Sunday during English Service.

   i.   The proposal to replace one of the aging projectors with a big screen TV

2.    The 2023 Joint Missions Convention will be held on July 28-30 at Evangelical Chinese Bible Church. Details are being shared on WhatsApp and our Facebook pages. Deadline for registration is July 1.

3.    Newbern Academy – Newbern Academy is planning to launch soon and we are looking for piano keyboards for students to use as a part of our piano course. If you or anyone you know can lend a keyboard, even if it's an older one, contact Jessica Yuen or Gabriel Chan.

4.   Please come join us in the send-off prayer for Ps Monique during next week’s (Jun 25) English Service, as she is concluding her term with Newbern in the end of this month.

5.    To celebrate Father's Day, Focus Fellowship has prepared some gifts with the kids. We invite all our brothers to please pick up one from the foyer after service, and a special blessing to you all today!

6.    Children's Church (10am) is finishing up their series on 1 John today. Next week in Children's Church we're having a "School's Almost Done!" party where we look back on our memories together from this year and celebrate all that God has done! Come ready for snacks and fun before we go to Sunday School (11am) as usual :)

3.    To sign up for Summer Camp 2023 (July 7-9), please take a registration form from the foyer, fill it out and hand it in to Eva by TODAY, June 11. Registration fees are $175 for youths and adults, and $155 for children aged 3-10. Only cash and cheque are accepted. Look forward to seeing you all at camp!

6.    Next Saturday (June 17) will be a joint Father’s Day gift making night between the Kids Ministry and Focus Fellowship! Parents are free to drop off their kids at 7pm and arrive for pickup at 8:30pm at the church basement/ Kids are asked to bring masks and disposable gloves if possible. For parents with children Grade 1 and below, please come stay with your kids and enjoy some crafting time together! The gifts will be presented on Sunday, June 18 during service. 7.    The Elders’ monthly meeting will be this Thursday night, June 15. The Nominating Committee is approaching potential Elder nominees now. Please pray.

5.    Ps Monique's term as our Pastor of Children's Ministry will be concluding on June 30, 2023. She has been called by Capstan/Revive as their Pastor of English Youth Ministries, and will join Ps Joe there before the Fall. We are very grateful for her ministry among us for the last school year, and will always remember her and her family fondly. May God bless and use them as a team to serve God for His glory in their new church!

May EB Meeting Highlights:

• Approved Pastor Ralph’s no-pay-leave from July 5-Aug 31.

• Decided to pay for church members to get certified in First Aid and FoodSafe for serving in the church, up to two of each per year.

• Decided against renting the entire basement for day care, but will explore other options for using the church facilities more fully during weekdays to fulfill God’s mission for us.
