4.   Summer Camp 2023 will be held in-person at Summit Pacific College on July 7-9. This year’s theme is “God Cares about Your Work!” featuring Dr. Wilson Chan as our main speaker. Dr. Chan is an adjunct professor at Carey Theological College, Bakke Graduate University, ACTS Seminary, and Alliance Bible Seminary (Hong Kong), specializing in marketplace theology and spirituality. There is a registration fee of $175 for youths and adults, and $155 for children aged 3-10, only cash and cheque are accepted. Please take a registration form from the foyer, fill it out and hand it in to Eva by June 11. We encourage everyone to sign up early as there is an early-bird discount of $20 per person if you register before May 21. Look forward to seeing you all at camp!

1.     Save the Date! On May Long Weekend (May 19-21) Newbern KidsMin is having a weekend VBS! Join us for a fun filled time as we go on a Mission: Deep Sea. Stay tuned for more details about our joint adventure with The Rainbow Garden and a youth sleep over! Contact Ps. Monique for more details and volunteer opportunities.

2.    We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Regent College in starting up our new ministry – Newbern Academy! As a part of the promotional process, Sheldon will be leading a team of volunteers today (April 9) after church to pass out some fliers in the neighbourhood and get a general survey of interest in our area. A delicious pizza lunch will also be provided for volunteers. Please join us as we attempt to reach out to our neighbours! For more questions, please contact Sheldon.

English Announcements - Apr 2, 2023

1.     Please join us from 11:00-11:35 for this morning’s Facilitated Discussion led by Ps Marcus, which will be based on today’s sermon.

2.    The Easter Joint Service will be held on next Sunday, April 9th at 11am in the English Sanctuary. Praise the Lord! Anbang Zhang has accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour, and will be baptized during the Easter Joint Service. Please continue to pray for him and his walk with God.

3.    During the Easter Joint Service, kids and youth are invited to the basement for Children’s Church. Parents are welcome to sign their kids in starting at 10:45am before the Joint Easter Service begins.

4.   Pastoral & Staff News – The Church Office will be closed on Friday, April 7 for Good Friday Holiday. Please note that both PingPong activity and Praise Dance will pause for a week and resume the week after.

7.    Mission Department Report clarification: The mission work of Pastor Isaac and Mable has been self-funded all along, except for the financial support from CCM when serving with CCM. The church highly values their mission work as Newbern’s Volunteer Consulting Pastor couple, and supports them in non-financial ways.
