1. Drawing Contest - Help us design our new garden! For ages: 2 to 13 years old Rainbow Garden Planter Design Contest. Deadline is today! Submit to info@newbern.bc.ca. Any questions you can contact Elder Alan Yu. Top 3 winners will win a gift card. All participants will receive a token of appreciation for participating.
2. 2022 Summer Camp Survey - In order to plan for our upcoming Summer Camp 2022, we are sending out a survey requesting for your feedback. Please click on the link (provided via WhatsApp or other means) and complete only one survey per family by today! It should only take 5 minutes of your time. Your opinion is very valuable to us and thank you for your attention.
3. 2021 Offering Receipts had been mailed out last week for tax filing purposes. For enquiries, please contact Administrative Assistant, Serena.
4. 2022 January offering record - The offering record is posted at English WhatsApp Group. Please verify your offering record. If there are questions or change of personal information, please contact Elder Alan Yu or Serena.
5. Lent - Lent begins on March 2 to April 14! We encourage you to consider fasting this year for 40 days from March to Easter. You can fast individually or with a group of friends! More details to come in the next week.
Announcements from The Elders Board
a. The church office will be closed on Tuesday for Family Day.
b. The process for the election of the 2023-2024 Elders will begin next Sunday. Please read the procedures posted on WhatsApp for details.
c. EB meeting highlights:
i. The resumption of in-person gatherings will begin in two stages on Feb 26 with up to 10 people in each meeting space, and up to 60 people starting March 13. More details to come.
ii. A Farewell Gathering for Pastor Nathan and Christy will be held at church on March 27, 12:30 pm.
iii. The AGM will be held in the English Sanctuary on March 27, at 2:00 pm.
iv. Sunny Tso has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Mission Department in 2022.
