English Announcements - Nov 6, 2022

1.     Please note that starting this Sunday the English Service will no longer be live streamed and online attendance will no longer be counted. We encourage all members to attend and receive the communion in person.

2.   Youth Sunday School is starting today, Nov 6, at 11am! Grade 7 and up are invited :) Can’t wait to see you there!

3.   Pastoral & Staff News

a.   Pr Marcus and Pr Arthur will be away from Nov 7-10 (coming Monday to Thursday) for the District Staff Retreat. The church office will be closed on Wednesday, Nov 9. For anything urgent, please contact Elder Ivy next week.

b.  The church office will be closed on Friday, Nov 11 for Remembrance Day holiday.

4.   Atesto - Atesto Passage is happening on Saturday, Nov 19 at 7pm at Michael J Fox Theatre this year! If you’re new to this ministry, it’s a ministry that provides a platform for Christians to tell their testimony using creative means, such as dance, spoken poetry and visual arts. Tickets will be on sale starting Nov 1 and there'll also be a pre-show open gallery between 5:30-7pm. This is our very last Atesto as we wrap up Atesto as a ministry, so hope to see you all there! 5.   Elijah Fellowship is inviting everyone to join them at a Christmas shoebox packing night on Friday, Nov 18 at 8pm at the church basement. We will be assembling care packages, so please bring with you little gift items such as everyday essentials and toiletries. For more information please contact Horn Lam.

6.   2023 Church Directory - If you have any updates on your contact  information, please send them to Jasmine at info@newbern.bc.ca before Nov 15.

7.   The 2023 church calendars are now available! Feel free to pick one up at the foyer before or after Sunday service. Please note that there is a limit of one calendar per family.
