English Announcements - June 9, 2024

1.     Summer Camp 2024 will be held at Camp Charis on Aug 23rd-25th. This year’s theme is “Living by Heavenly Wisdom” featuring Mariam Kovalishyn as our English speaker. Mariam Kamell Kovalishyn joined the faculty at Regent College in 2010. The majority of Mariam’s research has centered on the epistle of James, the gospel of Matthew, Jewish literature of the Intertestamental period, and classical Graeco-Roman literature, as well as general New Testament ethics. Cost: $210/youth (13 or above) & adult, $180/child (5-12)

Deadline: June 16th (early-bird, $15 discount/person); July 14th (final)

2.    Ps Arthur will be away for his Sabbatical leave from June 17 to September 3. Please contact Ps Marcus instead during this period.

3.    There will be a collaborative event between Focus & Salt Shaker Fellowship on June 15th, on the topic of career and financing. Please contact Ps Andy, Sam or Longines for more details.

4.   The Mandarin Small Group will be meeting next Sunday, June 16th at 12:30pm, please contact Ps Marcus if you are interested..

5.    The next worship service at SMC will be on June 23rd, please contact Ps Marcus if you are interested in serving in this ministry.

6.   This summer, we are hosting a Kids Camp from August 9th-11th! The theme is Exploring Music Adventure with God. We will have many fun activities from learning how to play the keyboard to arts & crafts to learning bible stories! The camp is open for kids from kindergarten to grade 5 and the registration fee is $30 per kid. For more details, please contact Ps Michelle.

7.    This month, we are sending our financial support to D & C – C&MA IW and Breakthrough Missions Canada. The updated profiles and prayer requests of both organizations will be posted on WhatsApp and on our website.
