1.     Mission Profile & REX team presentations.

2.    Welcome - A hearty welcome to our guest speaker Rev. Ray Chia! Thank you, Ps. Ray, for sharing God's Word with us today!

3.    A friendly reminder to all volunteers with Kids, Youth, and the Vulnerable Sector that the annual Safety & Risk Management Training is mandatory. Besides the in-person training this afternoon, the online alternative is coming up on Jan 31 @7pm. Please register using the QR code found on the S&RM posters before Jan 31 @4pm. Contact Ps. Monique for any questions or if you are interested in joining our Kids Ministry and Youth Teams!

4.   Feb 1 @ 5pm – There is a free webinar for parents and volunteers that work with kids. “Connected & Protected”, helps you equip kids for he online world. Sign up using the QR code found on the posters throughout the church or ask Ps. Monique if you have any questions.

5.    For those who are serving in 2023 (ushers, worship teams, A/V team etc.), please mark in your calendars Feb 5 at 12:30pm for a general meeting, lunch will be provided. Please make sure you fill out the google form sent via WhatsApp by TODAY to be included for lunch. If you do not have access to this form, or if you have any other questions, please let Kendra know.

6.   If you are available, please join Ps. Ralph in the English sanctuary at 11am Feb 5 (next Sunday) for a ½ hour town hall discussion. The topic has to do with putting together a proposal to use the 11am time for a facilitated discussion, with topics relevant to living as a Christian in the workplace or at college. Your input into shaping how this will work is highly valued.

7.    Rainbow Garden Announcement – We invite all children to pickup a card and write down words of blessings and appreciation. Please also put your names down on the cards and hand them over to Alan before Feb 7.

January EB meeting highlights:

a.    The EB is prayerfully considering when the church will end Stage 5 of our pandemic reopening plan and move to focus on communicable disease prevention instead.

b.   As a part of working towards reconciliation with our indigenous neighbours, the EB has adopted the use of a land acknowledgement statement on our website and other printed/written materials, as follows, “We acknowledge with humble respect that we are located on the traditional unceded territory of the Coast Salish, Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, which is our common home in virtue of the gracious gift of God, our Creator.”

c.    The EB decided to elect or re-elect 3 Elders this year for the 2024-2025 term, and will direct the new Nominating Committee to nominate 3 eligible candidates
