Chapter 3 with Eva Huang
This pandemic has changed the way people carry out their daily routines. For students, their way of learning and interacting with teachers or peers have been greatly altered.
Today we want to feature the real-life story of one of our members Eva and how she is making use of her gift in leading and teaching children to glorify God.
Eva has been staying active and making use of her time despite social distancing. She spends her time learning her online courses and enjoys virtual workouts with her girlfriends.
She is also a gifted leader and volunteers her time empowering children with our online Awana program. It is the dedication of leaders like Eva that enable Newbern to still be able to maintain our Awana program and Children’s ministry during this pandemic.
Eva took her gift of leading and teaching others to make an impact on the younger generation and their families. Hopefully one day these little ones will carry the torch too and lead Awana, so more people and more families can come to Christ. The impact Awana leaders and other children ministry volunteers have on children can be profound. Awana leaders often encourage children in Scripture memory and handbook work helping children better merge God's Word into their daily lives at school, at home and in their community. Newbern encourages everyone to take time to introduce our Awana program and Children’s Ministry to those who have not yet received Christ. For Eva, it is leading and mentoring the younger generation, for others it will be something else just know that God wants to use you to spread the good news. Let us answer His call!
