2020 has not been what we expected: We are faced with uncertainty in our home, community, workplace and church because of the pandemic. At Newbern one of the greatest challenges we faced was how we would still hold our Sunday services when we needed to social distance.

 Lucas was first exposed to live streaming back in high school when he used to watch competitive StarCraft tournaments online. He later started to livestream his own gaming experiences to share with his friends for fun.    

Who would have guessed years later down the road Lucas would be asked to live stream for Newbern. With live streaming in place earlier this year Newbern was able to start having virtual Sunday services. Although our members are not meeting in person this passion Lucas had enabled many to still be connected and to worship God together.  

Currently Lucas is training others so they can learn the skill and be able to assist with live streaming in the future. For Lucas it was live streaming, for others it will be something else, just know that God wants to use you to spread the good news. Let us answer His call!
