2.    Newbern's Summer BBQ/Outing – August 5 (Saturday) at Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park. Event hours are from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Cost $15 for adults, $12 for children ages 5-12, free for children under 5. Please register and give your payment to either Ivy Yau or Gina. Please also kindly let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions upon registration. Rides could be arranged upon request. Deadline for registration is July 30, we encourage everyone to invite family and friends. Come and join us for a bbq lunch, games and prizes!

3.    Church Clean-up Day – Come join us in cleaning our church on Saturday, July 29 at 9:30am-3:00pm. Please bring your own masks and cleaning supplies. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. For more details, please contact Daniel Chin.

4.   We are pleased to announce that Pastor Andy Beh has applied for the English Pastor position. He will be preaching in the English Service Aug 6 and have a meet-and-greet meeting with our congregants at 11:00, followed by a series of meetings and interview with our church leaders. All are welcome to attend the 9:30 service and 11:00 meeting.

5.    Pastor Karen has completed her two years of service in Panama as an International Worker of the C&MA. Her next mission field will be with the Mission Assistance Team (MAT) of the CCACA serving in Suriname, from October to December this year, for a period of three months. This new role will be self-funded.  Financial support will not be collected by the church or the Global Ministry of C&MA.  On July 24, she will return to Vancouver to attend the Joint Mission Convention (JMC).  Next, to explore ministry to the Jews, she will attend the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) held in Poland on Aug 13-18. Please continue to pray for her in all these areas!

July EB Meeting Highlights

a.    A statutory holiday policy and a work-from-home policy have been approved.

b.   A love feast will take place after baptism service on Thanksgiving Sunday.

c.    A church rental policy and agreement form have been approved for use.

d.   The purchase of a big-screen TV for the basement hall has been approved.
