1.     The process for the election of three 2024-2025 Elders begins today. Details for the procedure is posted on WhatsApp today. The active members list and nomination forms for the nominating committee are being distributed this weekend. The first step is to nominate eligible members to serve as membership representatives on the Nominating Committee. Nomination forms must be given to Pastor Marcus Tso by March 12. Candidates must be nominated by two church members with joint signatures, and the approval and signature of the Candidate.

2.    The Mission Department is excited and thankful to announce the opportunity to return to Panama for this year’s STM trip. Our initial plan is to team up with the Obario Chinese Alliance Church in Panama for a Youth Summer camp from Dec 25th-31st 2023. Our target is to form a team with around 10 members from Newbern and work alongside the local team of 6 helpers in running an English Speaking Summer Camp in various subjects and activities. We ask that you pray alongside with us for this Panama STM trip and participate through your donations and better yet… JOIN OUR TEAM!

3.    Passover Meal – Maundy Thursday marks Jesus’ last supper before being crucified on Good Friday. Come join us in a traditional Jewish Passover meal on April 6th @ 7pm at Ps Marcus’ apartment amenity room (6622 Southoaks Crescent Burnaby). There is a maximum capacity of 12 people including children, and there will be a registration fee of $10/person to cover the cost of the dinner. Registrations are open from today to Wednesday, March 15th, please scan the QR code on the poster or click on the link posted on Whatsapp to sign up. We will also host a live Zoom meeting for those who are unable to join us in person. For more details, please contact Ps Marcus.

4.   Membership Transfer – Easter Sunday is also an occasion for us to welcome new members who have officially transferred their membership from another church. If you are interested in membership transfer, please contact Ps Marcus.

5.    Baby Dedication - There will be a baby dedication ceremony during this Easter's Joint Service. Baby dedication is a ceremony that expresses the believing parents' commitment to raise their children in the way of the Lord. To apply or to find out more, please contact Ps Marcus.
