2.    The church office will be closed on Jan 1 for New Year’s Day holiday.

3.    Staff News – Pastor Michelle Yu has resigned from her role as our Pastor of Kids’ Ministry. We are grateful for Ps Michelle’s faithfulness, passion, and devotion to our church. Her last day will be on Jan 13. Please continue to pray for Ps Michelle and Billy as they continue to follow God’s leading.

4.   The 49th Anniversary Joint Service (Jan 5, 2024 @11am) arrangements:

·     Service & Worker’s Installation will be held in the Cantonese Sanctuary;

·     refreshments and cake will be provided in the basement after the service, and there will be a time of farewell and appreciation for Ps Michelle and Ps Karen during refreshments;

·     Children and Youth Sunday school (11:00) will be held as usual;

·     communion will be taken on Jan 12 instead.

5.    Congratulations to our Cantonese members Joshua and Rowan Wong for becoming grandparents! Their son and daughter-in-law, Isaiah and Monika, welcomed their first-born son to the world on Dec 14, 2024.  Baby Theodore weighed 9 lbs 2 oz at birth.  Both mother and baby are doing very well.  May the Lord continue to bless, keep, and guide their family.

6.   The next round of baptismal and membership classes will begin as early as January 19, 2025.  Anyone interested can contact Ps Marcus for details.

7.    This month, we are sending our financial support to Hope India Mission, Pastor Abraham and COCM Canada. The updated profiles and prayer requests of both organizations have been posted on WhatsApp and on our website.

December EB Meeting Highlights:

a.    In 2025, the whole church will promote regular personal devotion, prayer, proportional offering, evangelism, disciple making, and service.

b.   The portfolios of Elders for 2025 were decided: all current Elders will keep their current portfolios, and Elder-elect Sheldon will oversee Children and Youth Ministries.

c.    For Christmas 2025, the English Congregation will hold a Candlelight Service on Dec 20, while the Cantonese Congregation will hold a Christmas Morning Service on Dec 25.
