3. Joint Service & Communion – Please note that there will be a Joint Anniversary and Commissioning Service on next Sunday, Jan 1, 2023, and that Communion will be postponed a week to Jan 8, 2023. 

4. The church Office will be closed from Dec 27-31 as pastors and staff members attend the 60th CCC Winter Conference. Praise dance and Ping Pong will be cancelled that week. The church office will also be closed on Jan 3, 2022 in lieu of New Year’s Holiday. 

5. As we approach the end of 2022, please prayerfully consider making a special Year End Thanksgiving offering in response to God’s grace and to cover the budget shortfall. Please use the special envelopes distributed today for cash and cheque donations. For all online donations, please kindly indicate that it is dedicated towards the Year End Thanksgiving offering. Please also note that as we are wrapping up our account for 2022, only cash and cheque donations received by Dec 25 and online donations received by Dec 31 will be reflected on the 2022 Offering Summary and receipted as 2022 donations. Money received after those dates will be counted towards 2023. 

6. For any expenses in 2022 that requires reimbursement from the church, please fill out and submit a claim form with receipts attached to Jasmine by Jan 1, 2023.

Highlights from the Elder Board meeting in December 

a. An updated Safety and Risk Management Policy has been adopted, training to come on January 22, 2023. 

b. A new Snow Response Policy is being revised and finalized. 

c. Added A Rocha and C&MA IWs Daniel and Carla Paras to our list of supported missionaries and organizations. 

d. Approved Pastor Andrew Luk as Volunteer Pastor of Cantonese Ministry, effective Jan 1, 2023. 

e. The roles of the Elders in 2023 have been finalized, as shown on the Workers List.
